We made it, now let's get it! Jolie Takai and OMhh Instagram live oh my!!

So 2021 is here and WE, yes we as a human species have experienced occurrences that most of us could not have fathom in 2019. I for one can say 2019 had its many ups and many downs but what it proved is that perseverance and resilience goes a lot farther than what our two eyes can see.

In 2020 I made new relationships and ended some and all the while was forced to understand that life is what it is no matter the obstacles. Please remember how you use that time is up to you. With that understanding my energy brought some opportunities and interest I thought I had to choose between but I couldn’t find room in my life. Going forward I am choosing to remain motivated in the mist of the positive and negative surroundings.

With this wisdom my client and I put ideas together and make things happen as women do. So...who is this phenomenal woman with all this creativity its Brenda Edwards-Gueye who is the Co-founder, now CEO and creative director of this the Jolie Takai African Jewelry. Her story starts as a romantic journey/ partnership with her late husband Moussa Gueye.

She has managed to carry on the legacy and produce for the young and older woman of today. You do not have to understand the culture of African art to see the beautiful intricacies of the jewelry that is so unique to some and continued history for others. If you just view the Jolie Takai Instagram account the diversity in wear is an array of women, men, ages, genres and for that matter "fashionable expressions."

Her community has embraced her and supported her works of art; also have become educated of Senegalese symbolisms.

Her work also means she supports the art and makes her philanthropic work mean SOMETHING. Forever a teacher (literally-retired NYC Bd. of Ed teacher) she sees collaboration and community and more than just a photo opportunity.
